First Download the Free Montezuma's Revenge Game:

Next Download & Install the Emulator Dosbox on Windows:

Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)

Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\Montezuma. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.

Next: Open the Games folder then the Montezuma folder within it. Locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.

Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.

Creating the PC games config
Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.

Exit DOS command
Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.

Editing the games config
Next: With the dosbox config file open scroll to the section labeled [dosbox]. In this section there is a command "machine=
svga_s3". Change this command to "machine=cga".

Next: In the config file scroll to the section titled [cpu]. In this section find the command "cycles=auto". Change this line to "cycles=300". This number can be raised or lowered if you find the speed of the game to be too slow or fast (In increments of 25 or so).


Finally: Scroll to the bottom. We are going to place some text below [autoexec]:

Abandonia: For those who downloaded the Montezuma's Revenge game from Abandonia copy and paste the following text:

mount c c:\games\montezuma
c:
cd montys
montys


XTC Abandonware: For those who downloaded the Montezuma's Revenge game from XTC Abandonware copy and paste the following text:

mount c c:\games\montezuma
c:
montez~1

The House of Games: For those who downloaded the Montezuma's Revenge game from The House of Games copy and paste the following text:


mount c c:\games\montezuma
c:
monty's

Save and exit the config file when you are finished.


Now Lets Extract the Montezuma's Revenge Free Game Download:

First: Right click on the Montezuma's Revenge game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".

Then: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to
extract the Montezuma's Revenge game files, select "C:\Games\Montezuma" . When you're done click "Extract" and the files will begin to extract.

WHY when i load this game dose it make the player move on his own then die ??? i read some where you have to remove pin 7 in the md plug what ever that means i think it is messed up i should even have to do that i use to play this game on a pc and never used a controller anyone know what to do ? just post if you know how to fix this thanx

ok so i fixed my first problem
but now that i got the game working how the hell do you slow it down its going way to fast????
