How do i get in game audio?
All the logs and emails are in text form, how do i change that?
Hi I just did a reinstall and the audio worked fine like before. Are you using the copy of the game on Abandonia or from another site?
Best,
Glenn
I've got a bit of a problem, I can't download the ZIP file that contains System Shock to my C: harddrive. If you could tell me what to do I'd appreciate it. I'm downloading it from the Abandonia Site. You can reach me at stuwhitley@hotmail.com, Thanks!
Nevermind, I think I've got it.
Please help someone, i did everything the guide told me, but when i finished everything and was ready to go it said
C:\>cdsshock
Illegal command: cdsshock.
C:\>sshock
Illegal command: sshock.
I have no idea what this means, i just want to play the game. HELP!
Hi it sounds like the game files didn't extract correctly. Redo that step again to make sure. If you still have trouble let me know where the program sshock.exe is located on your hard drive.
Best,
Glenn
Help! Error 2000!
Hi is this happening while your playing the game?
Best,
Glenn
Not C:\>cdsshock, but C:\>cd sshock .
I usualy don't have any problem with old games. I've just instaled DosBox and every executable files working with drag&drop on dosbox icon. It's the simplest way.
It works 100% perfect on Windows Vista. Thank you so much, I've been waiting for years to be able to complete the game (years ago I just played the demo version, which was only the first level).
No problem enjoy finishing System Shock!
Best,
Glenn
When i'm launching SS in DosBox i have terrible lags. What am i doing wrong? Help!
Hi i followed the instructions correctly, the game doesn't run though. i type the mount lines but when i doubleclick the program, dosbox opens but the game doesn't run. what am i doing wrong?
Hi did you extract both files (game and dosbox) to c:\games\sshock? Also its easier if you add the command lines to the config file. That way they only have to be entered once. I'd try that method and use copy/paste to make sure there isn't any errors when they are entered. This is pretty common so I'd give that a shot. I just reinstalled the game with my commands and it worked so the commands haven't changed since I wrote the guide at all.
Best,
Glenn
