Note: This is the floppy disk version of the game. The difference between this version and the CD-ROM version is the floppy disk version lacks each characters dialogue sounds. This is supplemented however with written dialogue. All other game sounds are present.

Question:
With DOTT The cutscenes run the audio with no subtitles, but the in game runs no voice but has subtitles
How do i make it so you have sound AND subtitles on both?
Thanks for the compliments :). I will try to pick up a bunch of games on eBay and these titles will easily be among them as they are defiantly some of the best.
Happy Gaming!
Glenn
This is the floppy disk version so unfortunately they left out the character voice audio in game. I will try to pick up a copy of the CD-ROM edition and do a separate guide as it defiantly is the better way of experiencing the game.
Best,
Glenn
I wasn't able to extract the files. I right clicked on the folder, but Extract All... wasn't one of the options. What should I do?
Hi Jordan, I would just use a regular zip program such as winzip. You can get it at any of the major software download sites such as download.com.

hi thanks in advance :) i did all u said but when i launched the dosbox application i get the message C:\DAYOFT~1>tentacle
Illegal command: tentacle.
No idea what i did wrong :(
Thanks man! What a great guide. I haven't played this game in over 10 years! Keep up the great work!
Hi in response to the first message above, it sounds like the games files didn't extract into the right folder. When it is unable to use the cd, "change directory" command it means that directory doesn't exist within the one that contains Dosbox. I'd give extracting the game files a second try and just double check and make sure the file path given on the guide is the same you use to extract the game.
Best,
Glenn
Thanks enjoy the game it's a classic!

Thank you so much! Almost every time I try to install any game something goes wrong but these steps were foolproof! I had this game on a really old pc and just the intro has brought so many memories flooding back!

Hey - great game, it's bringing back many memories! Is there any wau to save the game though? As much as I'd love to play for 48 straight hours, I have to go to work *sigh*!
Hi Julie, you can bring up the save menu by pressing the F1 key.
Best,
Glenn
For DOTT and all the other (2d) Lucas Arts Adventures (as well as for a lot of other adventures) I recommand ScummVM. It's an excellent piece of software, and it makes all those games run at least as good as they did in DOS. Also it supports Windows, Linux, Mac OS and much more.
