First Download the Free Peppers Adventures in Time Game:
Choose from one of the following sites.
Abandonia : Download Game : Download Instructions
XTC Abandonware : Download Game : Download InstructionsMr Old Games : Download Game : Download InstructionsThe House of Games : Download Game : Download InstructionsNext Download & Install the Emulator Dosbox on Windows:
Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)
Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\Peppers. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.
Next: Open the Games folder then the Peppers folder within it. Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.
Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.
Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.
Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.
Finally: With the dosbox config file open scroll to the bottom. We are going to place some text below [autoexec]:
mount c c:\games\peppers
c:
sierra
Save and exit the config file when you are finished.
Now Lets Extract The Peppers Adventures in Time Free Game Download:
First: Right click on the Peppers Adventures in Time game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".
Then: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to extract the Peppers Adventures in Time game files, select "C:\Games\Peppers" . When you're done click "Next" again and the files will begin to extract.
The Clock's Ticking:
Double click on the Dosbox program in the "C:\Games\Peppers" folder and the game Peppers Adventures will launch, have fun!

I have downloaded the 5 orig floppies to my mac, and have dosbox and am trying to install it with the included dos instructions since I don't have windows, however in the dos only folder when installing I get this message- "Can't find text entry for 'videoPrompt'. This can be caused by a missing INSTALL.TXT or INSTALL.HLP file Module: J:TEXTICT.CPP(148)" I dont think any files are missing though since I downloaded strait from mark's site- http://www.markseibert.com/the_full_game.htm , anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
Hi Kate, are you using a vintage mac or a modern one? The game will run differently on a mac if its the PC version and you are running it through Dosbox. This is due to OS X having a different file structure from Windows. If you are running the Mac version of the game on a modern Mac then you will likely run into a bunch of problems since it was a pre OS X game that is also coded for Power PC Mac's. I don't have a hard copy of the game on hand so unfortunately I can't be of much help for the floppy install. You might want to try using boot camp or running parallels and running the Abandonia version /w Dosbox through that.

When I double clicked the dosbox, it said illegal command sierra. What do I do to make it work?

due to the problem that it said "illegal command sierra"
instead of write
"mount c c:\games\peppers
c:
sierra"
write
"mount c c:\games\peppers

sierra"
It worked for me! I'm using a Windows Vista Home Premium, I followed all the instructions, and its working! Thanks a lot!
