Doesn't work. I get this error: Illegal command: wolf3d.

All I did was copy paste his information and it gave me this error.

Hi I did a reinstall to check and everything worked so XTC hasn't changed the files or anything. It sounds like the game file dosbox is looking for isn't there. Did you follow all the steps or just copy and past the config commands. If you did the this the game won't run because the files have to exist in the folders outlined in the steps. Let me know if this helped.

Best,
Glenn

I tried this, but the game (in fullscreen, changed in config) was very laggy and the fade between the menus took FOREVER (more than 15 sec.)

It worked perfectly fine in fullscreen after I changed "output=surface" (at the top of config) to "output=overlay" and changed "memsize=16" to "memsize=32" (don't know why :D ).

I also changed the mouse sensitivity: "sensitivity=200" instead of 100. Helped a lot.

Changing to output=overlay probably would have the biggest effect of the bunch. Thanks for the info this will hopefully help others who run into this issue as well.

Glenn

I tried this guide 3 times but I can't get the game to run. At the end when I double click on dosbox it just gives me the Z prompt again. Such a shame as I would have loved to have played wolf 3d again.

Is it because I am running Windows 7(x86) :( So sad.
