First Download the Free Game Street Rod 2 - The Next Generation:

Next Download & Install the Emulator Dosbox:

Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)


Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\StRod2. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.



Next: Open the Games folder then the StRod2 folder within it. Locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.


Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.


Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.


Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.


Finally: With the dosbox config file open scroll to the bottom. We are going to place some text below [autoexec]:

Abandonia: For those who downloaded the game Street Rod 2 from Abandonia copy and paste the following text:

mount c c:\games\strod2
c:
sr

XTC Abandonware: For those who downloaded the game Street Rod 2 from XTC Abandonware copy and paste the following text:

mount c c:\games1\strod2
c:
sr2

Save and exit the config file when you are finished.


Now Lets Extract The Street Rod 2 Free Game Download:

First: Right click on the Street Rod 2 game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".


Then: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to extract the Street Rod 2 game files, select "C:\Games\StRod2". When you're done click "Next" again and the Street Rod 2 files will begin to extract.



Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!:


Double click on the Dosbox program in the "C:\Games\StRod2" folder and the game Street Rod 2 will launch. You will be asked to "select [your] graphic mode", select "3 - VGA 320 x 200 x 16 colors". After this you will be asked to select your "Sound Option", select "1 - Adlib". The game will now start, enjoy!
