More VGA Games Appear, Quickly Sell & Move Up in Price!

Author: Glenn Scrima
As we know VGA has finally stepped into the market and is the only real contender at the moment for your graded collecting dollar . After news of this first hitting various sites such as Joystiq, Game Sniped, and Kotaku things seemed to go silent about the company as quickly as they emerged. Until now there hasn't been any new games hitting eBay (besides relistings). However a few days ago the same seller who made the first eBay listings added a few additional titles and the results are interesting. Among the newly listed titles are Ninja Gaiden 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Double Dragon 2 and Double Dragon 3. Only one of these four is still available for sale as the rest quickly were purchased via the "Buy it Now" option.

Even more noteworthy however is the fact that prices have increased noticeably since the last time two of these games have sold. Ninja Gaiden 2 (VGA 85 NM+) originally sold for $140.49 in April but was quickly gobbled up at the even higher price of $189.99 just one month later. The same can be said for Super Mario Bros 3 (VGA 85 NM+) which sold for $177.50 at first and then again for $224.99 just over five weeks later. At the moment it's still anyone's guess where grading will take all of us collectors but lets hope for the sake of the hobby it's not in the direction of higher prices.
