Alone in the Dark 2 Game Free Download & Install Guide

Note: This version of the game does not contain the music tracks. All other sounds are present however.


First Download & Install Dosbox on Windows:

Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)

Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\Alone2. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.



Next: Open the Games folder then the Alone2 folder within it. Locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.


Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.


Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.


Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.

cd alonei~1
aitd2



Now Lets Download the Free Game Alone in the Dark 2:

Go To: http://abandonia.com

Next: Type "Alone in the Dark 2" in the game search box in the upper right corner of the main page and press enter.


After That: Click on "Alone in the Dark 2" in the game search results column.


Next: On the page that follows click on the "download this game!" button.


Finally: Click on the "Get It" button on following page and wait for your browser to give you the option to download and save the Alone in the Dark 2 file. Click the "Save" button and choose a directory on your hard drive where you would like to save the game. Saving to your desktop is usually the default option and is probably the easiest place to save the Alone in the Dark 2 file for extraction.



Now Lets Extract the Alone in the Dark 2 Free Game Download:

First: Right click on the Alone in the Dark 2 game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".


Then: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to extract the Alone in the Dark 2 game files, select "C:\Games\Alone2". When you're done click "Next" again and the files will begin to extract.



Shhh....What Was That Noise!:


Double click on the Dosbox program in the Alone2 folder and the game Alone in the Dark 2 will launch, have fun!
