First Download & Install Dosbox:
Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)
Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\BatmanTCC. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.
Next: Open the Games folder then the BatmanTCC folder within it. Locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.
Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.
Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.
Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.
Finally: With the dosbox config file open scroll to the bottom. We are going to place some text below [autoexec]
mount c c:\games\batmantcc
c:
cd batman~1
Save and exit the config file when you are finished.
Now Lets Download the Free Game Batman - The Caped Crusader:
Go To: http://abandonia.com
Next: Type "Batman" in the game search box in the upper right corner of the main page and press enter.
After That: Click on "Batman - The Caped Crusader" in the game search results column.
Next: On the page that follows click on the "download this game!" button.
Finally: Click on the "Get It" button on following page and wait for your browser to give you the option to download and save the Batman game file. Click the "Save" button and choose a directory on your hard drive where you would like to save the game. Saving to your desktop is usually the default option and is probably the easiest place to save Batman - The Caped Crusader for extraction.
Now Lets Extract the Batman Game Download:
First: Right click on the Batman game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".
Then: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to extract the Batman - The Caped Crusader files, select "C:\Games\BatmanTCC". When you're done click "Next" again and the files will begin to extract.
Choose Your Nemesis:
Double click on the Dosbox program in the "C:\Games\Countdown" folder and you will be lauched into Dosbox. You will now have the option of playing two variations of the same game. If you would like to play against the Joker type "joker" at the C:\Batman~1 prompt and press enter.
If you like playing against the Penguin instead type "penguin" at the C:\Batman~1 prompt and press enter.
You're now all set to play. Have fun protecting the citizens of Gotham!
