First Download & Install Dosbox on Windows:
Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)
Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\SimFarm. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.
Next: Open the Games folder then the SimFarm folder within it. Locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.
Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.
Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.
Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.
Finally: With the dosbox config file open scroll to the bottom. We are going to place some text below [autoexec]:
mount c c:\games\simfarm
c:
simfarm
Save and exit the config file when you are finished.
Now Lets Download The Free Sim Farm Game:
Go To: http://abandonia.com
Next: Type "SimFarm" in the game search box in the upper right corner of the main page and press enter.
After That: Click on "SimFarm" in the game search results column.
Next: On the page that follows click on the "Get It!" button.
Finally: Click on the "Get It" button on following page and wait for your browser to give you the option to download and save the Sim Farm file. Click the "Save" button and choose a directory on your hard drive where you would like to save the Sim Farm file. Saving to your desktop is usually the default option and is probably the easiest place to save the Sim Farm file for extraction.
Now Lets Extract The Sim Farm Free Game Download:
First: Right click on the "Sim Farm" game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".
Then: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to save the extracted Sim Farm files, select "C:\Games\SimFarm". When you're done click "Next" again and the Sim Farm files will begin to extract.
Green Acres:
Double click on the Dosbox program in the "C:\Games\SimFarm" folder and the game Sim Farm will launch, have fun!

Ok i have having problams lauching the game Sim Farm. I did everything in your guide and downloaded the game. But when i go to open dos box to play the game all that comes up is writing and its asking me if i want an intro or to make it go faster by typing in some certain words. So will u please give me some advice. thanks
Hi are you using the copy from Abandonia or a different site? Also are you stuck in DOS itself or has the game loaded?

I actually found that and it does open dosbox in fullscreen. However, I am playing simfarm and the game itself will not open fullscreen it stays the same size and doesn't seem to resize! Not sure if this can be changed or how to do it. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I tried to open the game in the folder c:\games\simfarm using the dosbox application, and it said that it couldn't open because SDl.dll was not found. What do I need to do? I have a 64 bit Vista machine, if that is any help. Thanks!
Help! I can't open dosbox CONF file with notepad! It doesn't have option: "Open with..."
Never mind, my problem is solved.
When I try to install DosBox, I get an error message: "The installer you are trying to use is incorrupt or incomplete"

I have done everything but when I go to extract all and then run the program it says it doesn't support windows vista 64x?
Hi you might have downloaded an edition of Dosbox for another platform (OS X, Linux etc.). Also to be safe make sure your copy came from dosbox.com as well. If these fail try an earlier edition of Dosbox and see if the error still comes up.

Hi you can't run the program itself in Vista due to compatibility issues but need to use Dosbox instead to emulate DOS for you.

It says drive C does not exist, you must mount it first. games/simfarm does not exist you must mount it first...how do i do this?
Hi Glen i am having trouble getting sim farm. iv downloaded everything the way you said but now it wont let me play, the dosbox just pops up saying simfarm illegal opperation... help.. i just want to play simfarm! :(
Hi in Dosbox is the C: drive mounting correctly? Are you at the C:\> prompt or the Z:\> prompt?

does this work for windows 7?! i downloaded the Dosbox, and on the Aabandonia site it will not allow me to download the game, when i clikc 'get it' it never loads, only says "cannot load the page"
