Prehistorik 2 Game Free Download & Install Guide

First Download & Install Dosbox on Windows:




Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox category)

Next: Run the downloaded installer file and install Dosbox on your hard drive in the directory C:\Games\Prehistorik2. Simply entering this will create these folders for you.

Next: Open the Games folder then the Prehistorik 2 folder within it. Locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.

Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.

Creating the game config
Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.

Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.

Finally:
With the dosbox config file open scroll to the bottom. We are going to place some text below [autoexec]:

mount c c:\games\prehistorik2
c:
pre2

Save and exit the config file when you are finished.


Now Lets Download the Free Game Prehistorik 2:

Go To: http://abandonia.com

Next: Type "Prehistorik 2" in the game search box in the upper right corner of the main page and press enter.

After That:
Click on "Prehistorik 2" in the game search results column.

Next:
On the page that follows click on the "Get It!" button.

Download game
Finally:
Click on the "Get It" button on following page and wait for your browser to give you the option to download and save the Prehistorik 2 game file. Click the "Save" button and choose a directory on your hard drive where you would like to save the Prehistorik 2 file. Saving to your desktop is usually the default option and is probably the easiest place to save the file for extraction.

Now Lets Extract The Prehistorik 2 Game Download:

First: Right click on the "Prehistorik 2" file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".

Then:
Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. You will be asked where you would like to extract the Prehistorik 2 game files, select "C:\Games\Prehistorik2". When your done click "Next" again and the files will begin to extract.

Double click on the Dosbox program in the C:\Games\Prehistorik2 directory and the game Prehistorik 2 will launch, enjoy!

I tried to maximise the window by pressing simultaneously Alt + Enter, but it causes a very slow game and I can ensure you that my problem is not the hardware...

Even with fast hardware some games have emulator issues in certain circumstances so it's worth a shot.
