STEP 1: DOWNLOADING & EXTRACTING THE FREE GAME
First Download the Free Game Alien Syndrome:
Go To: http://abandonia.com
Next: Type in Alien Syndrome in the game search box in the upper right corner of the main page and press enter.
Next: Click on Alien Syndrome in the game search results column.
After That: Click on the "Get It!" button on the following page.
Finally: Click on the "Get It" button on next page and wait for your browser to give you the option to download and save the game. Click the "Save" button and choose a directory on your hard drive where you would like to save the Alien Syndrome game file. Saving to your desktop is usually the default option and is probably the most convenient place to extract the game from.
Now Lets Extract the Alien Syndrome Game Free Download:
First: Right click on the Alien Syndrome game file you downloaded to your hard drive and click on "Extract All".
Finally: Click the "Next" button when the extractor launches. It will then ask you where to extract the Alien Syndrome game files. Choose C:\Alien for now. After you've chosen your directory on your hard drive click "Next" again and the files will begin to extract.
STEP 2: DOWNLOADING & INSTALLING DOSBOX
Go To: http://www.dosbox.com > Downloads Tab > Click the Windows version (Under the Dosbox Category)
Next: Run the Downloaded Installer file. Install Dosbox in the folder C:\Alien when asked for a location on your hard drive.
Next: Open the Alien folder and locate and then run Dosbox by double clicking on the Dosbox program icon.
Next: At the the command prompt in Dosbox type "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" and then press the "Enter" key.
Next: Type "exit" to exit Dosbox.
Now: Locate and right click on the Dosbox config file. Click "open with" & select notepad.
Next: Now with the dosbox config file open scroll to the bottom. We are going to place the following text below [autoexec]:
mount c c:\alien\alien
c:
alien
After entering these lines of code save your changes and exit the dosbox config file.
Finally (Optional Step): Change the name of the dosbox program to Alien Syndrome by right clicking on the dosbox program and selecting rename.
STEP 3: Play Alien Syndrome
All you need to do now is double click on the Dosbox (now named Alien Syndrome) program and you will be automatically launched into the game. The worlds counting on you (or at least a few hostages in the game are), so go get em tiger.
